Love Books? Discover new reads every other month at our friendly booky meet ups. We help you discover new reads – just bring at least one book to swap and reading tales to share.
Bee’s Bookshare is a friendly community of book lovers, and we love to welcome new people to our meet ups. There are no set books to read, just bring something you’ve loved or loathed to pass on and share the reading buzz.
Bee’s Bookshare is back!
- Sunday 4 July, 2pm
- Sunday 1 August, 2pm
- Sunday 5 September, 2pm
We’re meeting at the beautiful, Covid-safe outdoor socially distanced venue – Margate’s Garden Gate.
Just bring a book, enjoy some booky natter and go home with a new read to devour! Any type of book and any type of reader welcome.
The Garden Gate is a community garden focused on the wellbeing and cohesion of the local community and a stunning oasis of botanical goodness – a wonderful backdrop to our first meet-ups in over a year. Being outdoors, it’s perfect for us to enjoy sharing our reads whilst following any restrictions that are still in place. Plus there are indoor alternatives if we’re not graced with clear skies and sunshine.
We can’t wait to see you!
Grow community care with your love of reading
If you are able to, it would mean the world if you could consider making a donation to The Garden Gate Project when you come to the Bookshare meet-ups, however small. With funding cuts continuing, these vital charities rely on the generous support of the community to ensure their life-enhancing services continue.
You can donate online by card, or by cash at our meet-ups.
